Chronological resume for Canada

Chronological resume for Canada 18 December, 2013Leave a comment

The chronological resume is one of two principal types of resume in Canada alongside the functional resume. It is important to be aware of how to write one because the chronological resume is the most popular of the two and is accepted throughout the nation.

The Chronological Resume

What is a chronological resume?

A chronological resume is time-based. It is a summary of all the work experience undertaken throughout your professional career and a chronological listing of all your employers along with related accomplishments. You list your most recent position first. Below this, educational information is included along with certifications, awards and skills.

Who are chronological resumes most useful for?

The chronological resume is best if you have a lot of experience in your field. It is also better for people who do not have periods of time when they were not working.

However, if you are switching careers or are just entering the workforce, this type of resume is not recommended. In this case, use the functional resume format instead.
